Getting to know the deer here in Saint Paul has been invigorating. On this particular excursion, there was a mob of deers. There were 7 of them in the woods on a cold December day about 50 feet away. I had my cup of tea, I had my telephoto lens and I was warmly dressed. However, the mob proceeded to approach me. Then, the biggest one kept coming closer…and closer…and closer. I put my tea down and was rushing to my car. The deer stopped and took a sip of my tea! Two reasons the photo is a little out of focus. First, I was scared of her charging me and I was shaking. Second, it was a below zero wind chill. Still, I adore this photo and memory.
